Hello.

For two reasons, my brother (an AIIP member) mentioned to me the thrust of your March 13 email about your PI work, and for the same two reasons, that leads me to contact you.

The first reason is because your work partly overlaps with my own long career in institutional investing, including due diligence on hedge funds and hedge fund of funds. See www.PrudentExpertLLC.com. And the second reason is because I’m speaking at the AIIP Annual Conference next month about a subject growing out of that career, and illustrated through stories dealing with a range of investors, from Bernie Madoff to Warren Buffett. That subject is an exploration of many, often underappreciated sources of meaning and motivation in work, and the stories are recounted in my recently-published book, “Wellsprings of Work” (www.WellspringsofWork.com).

Given your own focus on hedge fund due diligence, my educated guess is that you may want to tune into my (online) session at the AIIP Conference. That’s Tues, April 25 at 12 noon and it’s titled, “Beyond the Buck: Finding Fulfilling Work in a Capitalist Economy.”

Thanks.
